Collection of General Information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and similar details. These data do not permit any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. They are technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the content of the web pages you request and are an inevitable part of using the internet. We analyse anonymous information of this kind for statistical purposes to optimise our website and the underlying technology.
Registration on Our Website
When you register to use our personalised services, we collect certain personal data, such as your name, address, and contact details, including telephone number and email address. Once registered, you will be able to access content and services that are available only to registered users. Registered users may also update or delete the information provided at registration at any time, where applicable.
We will provide information regarding the personal data stored about you on request. Such data will be corrected or deleted at your instruction, provided that no statutory retention obligations apply. To contact us in this regard, please use the contact details provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.
Provision of Paid Services
For the provision of paid services, we request additional data, such as payment information.
SSL Encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods in line with current technological standards (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS on our website www.controlex.eu (as of 22 May 2018).
Newsletter
When you subscribe to our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by email about matters relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes to the newsletter offering or technical circumstances).
A valid email address is required for effective registration. To verify that a subscription request is genuinely made by the owner of an email address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. This involves recording the newsletter subscription request, sending a confirmation email, and receiving the required confirmation reply. No further data are collected. The data are used exclusively for sending the newsletter and are not disclosed to third parties.
You may revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and their use for newsletter distribution at any time. Each newsletter contains a corresponding link for this purpose. You may also unsubscribe at any time by sending us an informal notice using the contact details provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.
Brevo (Sendinblue) is used as our newsletter software. In this context, your data are transferred to Sendinblue GmbH. Brevo is prohibited from selling your data or using them for purposes other than sending newsletters. Sendinblue GmbH is a certified German provider selected in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Further information can be found here: https://www.brevo.com/de/legal/privacypolicy/
Our data protection measures are subject to ongoing technical developments. We therefore recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our data protection practices.
Contact Form
If you contact us by email or via the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of handling your enquiry and for any follow-up questions.
Deletion or Restriction of Data
We adhere to the principle of data minimisation. We therefore store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable statutory retention periods. Once the relevant purpose no longer applies, or such periods have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely restricted or deleted in accordance with statutory requirements.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. Due to the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will, however, be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data held by Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at the following link: Browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics.
As an additional or alternative measure to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link. An opt-out cookie will then be placed on your device. This will prevent data collection by Google Analytics for this website and this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
Use of Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and utilises data about the use of the map functions by visitors. Further information on data processing by Google can be found in the Google Privacy Policy, where you can also adjust your personal privacy settings in the Privacy Centre.
Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.
Embedded YouTube Videos
Some of our web pages include embedded YouTube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page containing the YouTube plugin, a connection is established to YouTube’s servers. This notifies YouTube about which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before visiting such pages.
When a YouTube video is played, the provider uses cookies to collect information about user behaviour.
If you have disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ads program, you will generally not receive such cookies when viewing YouTube videos. However, YouTube may still store non-personal usage information in other cookies. To prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser settings.
Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in the provider’s Privacy Policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
Google Ads
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, a cookie will be set on your computer by Google Ads. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of the required cookie — for example, by configuring your browser to generally disable the automatic setting of cookies or to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.
Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies if you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you delete all cookies in your browser, you will need to set the respective opt-out cookie again.
Your Rights to Access, Rectification, Restriction, Erasure, and Objection
You have the right to obtain information at any time about the personal data we have stored about you. You also have the right to request the rectification, restriction or, except for mandatory data retention for business purposes, the erasure of your personal data. Please contact our Data Protection Officer for this purpose. The contact details can be found at the end of this Privacy Policy.
To ensure that a restriction of data can be taken into account at any time, such data must be retained in a restriction file for control purposes. You may also request the deletion of data, provided that no statutory retention obligation applies. Where such an obligation exists, we will restrict your data upon request.
You may make changes to or revoke a previously granted consent at any time by notifying us accordingly, with effect for the future.
Amendments to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services, for example in the event of the introduction of new services. The amended Privacy Policy will apply on your next visit.
