Key Features
The Connection App, part of the Controlex Web Services ecosystem, is the first web application that connects Dahua devices with any internet platform, software solution, or service. It is based on Dahua’s HTTP Push technology and enables efficient data transfer from Dahua recorders and cameras into the systems you already use in your daily operations, such as CRM, analytics tools, and others.
At setup, cameras and recorders are configured in the Connection App. In the Dahua device settings, it can be specified which data is sent via HTTP Push to the Connection App’s IP address. By default, the app receives the full data set from Dahua devices, unifies the format, and forwards it to a user-defined target URL. In addition, it is possible to define rules that forward only selected data categories, such as those triggered by a specific IVS rule. An SMS or call service can also be enabled to send event notifications.
The following rules / alarm events are supported on up to 32 channels:
- Motion detection
- Smart Motion Detection (SMD) - Human
- Alarm input
- Tripwire
- Intrusion area
- Face detection
- License plate recognition (ANPR)
- People counting
SMS & Calls
When an alarm event is detected according to the defined rules, the Connection App can trigger phone calls and send SMS messages. This allows for a faster and more targeted response to security-related incidents. A combination of SMS, calls, and HTTP requests is supported.
Implementation Benefits: The app covers a wide range of practical scenarios and can be fully operational within 24 hours. For example, in a license plate recognition setting, a Dahua ANPR camera transmits the captured data via HTTP Push to the app. The data is then securely forwarded in a standardized JSON format to a cloud-based parking management system. In addition, if a detected license plate matches an entry on a negative list, an automatic phone call can be triggered.
App Version
This is a free test version of the Connection App, valid for one month. Within this time, you can evaluate the app’s efficiency and real-world usability in your daily security operations. When the test period expires, access will automatically end. To continue usage, the
standard version can be purchased in our online shop.
The free test version includes the following data allocations:
- 10 SMS;
- 10 Calls;
- 1000 HTTP-Requests.
Additional data packages can be purchased in our online shop if your data volume exceeds the quota included in the current version.
Setup
