Vehicle/Non-Vehicle Detection
What Is Dahua Vehicle/Non-Vehicle Detection?
Vehicle/non-vehicle detection is a Dahua AI-powered feature that automatically identifies and classifies objects in video footage. The system distinguishes between motorized vehicles and non-motorized entities, organizing them into separate categories for precise analysis. This feature is based on video metadata and is available in the NVR Next interface under Target Video.
Vehicle/non-vehicle detection enables attribute-based search in video recordings.
Vehicle – search by attributes: plate number, list type (general, whitelist, blacklist), vehicle color, vehicle type, logo, license plate color, ornament, calling, seatbelt, smoking, region.
Non-vehicle – search by attributes: Vehicle type, vehicle color, number of passengers, hat (helmet, cap).
What Practical Benefits Do Dahua Vehicle and Non-Vehicle Detection Features Offer?
In practice, vehicle and non-vehicle detection enables relevant vehicle types to be identified and narrowed down automatically on the basis of defined attributes. Instead of manually searching through extensive recordings for vehicle movements, the system uses specific characteristics to retrieve relevant matches and associated video sequences more quickly. This is particularly relevant in traffic-related scenarios such as access routes, parking areas, logistics zones, or publicly accessible outdoor spaces, where vehicle movements need to be evaluated in a structured manner. At the same time, attribute-based search improves analytical precision by making specific target types easier to locate, even within large volumes of data.
