Stereo Analysis

What Is Dahua Stereo Analysis?

Stereo Analysis is a Dahua AI feature that uses two image sources to perform spatial analysis and detect object movement with greater accuracy. By combining binocular stereo vision with deep learning algorithms, the technology can detect objects more effectively in three-dimensional space, determine their position more precisely, and evaluate target movements more reliably.

Technically, Dahua Stereo Analysis works with two lenses that capture the same scene from slightly offset viewing angles. Based on these two images, the system calculates optical parallax and derives 3D information about the observed scene. Combined with AI, different types of movement can be differentiated more effectively, and human behavioral patterns can be analyzed more precisely.

Dahua Stereo Analysis supports the following rules:

  • Fall Detection
  • People Approaching Detection
  • Abnormal Number of People Detection
  • Strand Detection
  • Violence Detection
  • Crossing Warning Line
  • Warning Area Intrusion
  • Running Detection

What Practical Benefits Does Dahua Stereo Analysis Offer?

Compared with conventional 2D analysis, Stereo Analysis offers several technical advantages, particularly in the more precise evaluation of object movement and behavioural patterns. By performing spatial analysis on the basis of two image sources, the system can filter out shadows and background interference more effectively, segment objects more clearly, and determine parameters such as distance, height, depth, and target position with greater accuracy. The function also supports 3D motion tracking and estimation, allowing movement sequences to be captured and evaluated more reliably. In practice, this improves the quality of event detection, especially in security-relevant scenarios involving complex movement patterns or increased requirements for the precise spatial positioning of people.
