What Is Dahua Scene Self-Adaptation (SSA)?

Scene Self-Adaptation (SSA) is an AI-based Dahua feature for automatic image optimisation. Leveraging deep learning algorithms, the system recognises different surveillance environments and automatically adjusts image parameters to maintain high image quality even in challenging lighting conditions. It also detects backlit scenes and automatically optimises functions such as WDR to ensure stable and natural image reproduction.

The SSA feature identifies different conditions such as rain, snow, fog, backlighting, and flicker, extending the camera’s range of use across various indoor and outdoor installations.

  • Rain, Snow, and Fog: Automatic switching to defog mode and adaptive adjustment of the relevant image parameters.
  • Backlighting: Detection of backlighting conditions and automatic adaptation of the WDR mode for clear and natural image reproduction.
  • Flicker: Adaptive flicker suppression to reduce horizontal image stripes caused by flickering light sources.
