What Is Dahua PPE Detection?
PPE Detection is an AI-driven Dahua feature for the automatic detection of personal protective equipment within the monitored area. Based on deep learning algorithms, the system can identify relevant PPE attributes, trigger image capture accordingly, and generate an alarm event if deviations from the defined requirements are detected.
PPE Detection is based on the analysis of defined video metadata, which the system processes as personal attributes. Depending on the model, this may include safety helmets, reflective safety vests, masks, protective eyewear, as well as the colour of upper-body and lower-body clothing. On this basis, the system checks whether detected individuals meet the configured personal protective equipment requirements or deviate from them, allowing corresponding events to be triggered automatically.
